were is that target you're shooting from?out of the Quick 16 and speedload 6, which would you say is better in terms of pricing, range, jamming, usability and so on?Nathalie,The velcro target rug was from a Nerf Target Practice Set (comes with the Dart Tag Target Rug and a Nerf Eliminator + a bunch of Tagger foam darts).harpuia,Comparing between the Quick 16 and Speedload 6, both blasters have similar range and both have the slam-fire mode too. But i'll have to say that the Quick 16 would be more effective in Dart Tag games, simply because its ammo capacity is higher (so you don't need to stop and reload it as often).what's that weird sound at 0:17 ?mark loon,Its a squeak from my old office chair (it ain't no herman miller chair)... think it needs abit of oil in the suspension. :)Is the Needle at the back an Stock attachment?Richard,Needle? If you mean the part of the casing in black color that looks like a dove-tail, well that seems to be just part of the back structure at the moment. The existing N-Strike shoulder stocks cannot fit in that section.I mean the yellow cylinder, directly behind the Pistol gripp at the bak, where the Trigger is. There is a yellow Thing standing aout. Does the N-Strike Schoulder Stocks or the one of the Super soaker Tornado Strike really aren't fit?Richard,Nope... like i mentioned, the existing N-Strike or Super Soaker shoulder stocks cannot fit in that section.is this compatible with whistler darts or just velcro darts?mikee::,Yes, it is compatible with Nerf whistler foam darts too.Hmm... I just got e quick 16 and i find it very lacklustre as compared to the speedload 6 and the alpha trooper, is that normal?Albert,Well, individual Nerf blaster units tend to have manufacturing variations so you might have gotten a "sub-optimal" unit.Maybe you could exchange it at the store for a new one and see if you get a better unit. It all depends on luck. :)cheers!Do Buzzbee suction darts work with it??Rushlight,I've tested Buzz Bee suction tipped foam darts and they tend to jam in the Nerf Quick 16, therefore not compatible.What about fdls? Possible to work inside a quick16?Jeremy the Mozzie King,I've tested FDLs and they can work in the Quick 16.Why exactly don't streamlines work?Oliver,Nerf streamline foam darts have longer dart tip "stems" (if you detach a streamline tip, you'll notice its "stem" section is positioned deeper within the hollow foam). As a result, the plastic dart posts inside the Quick 16 chambering bolt prevents streamlines from chambering properly.The common solution to that issue is to simply remove the plastic dart posts in the Quick 16 (then any foam darts can be used). That is one of the basic steps in the modding process for most Nerf blasters.Will the darts be stuck whenever you are loading it?ilyas,It's the same as loading a normal N-Strike clip, the foam darts wouldn't get stuck if they are loaded properly.Soo... This is basically the same as the Raider?When it is primed back if you do it slowly will the mechanism lock like the raider? Or is it one pump like the recon or longshot?Hopefully you understand what i mean.Noah,Yes, as with blasters that have slam-fire capability, it also has the half-pull lock feature (you cannot push the grip forward once past a certain point, it has to be pulled back fully to complete the priming cycle), this is designed to prevent users from half priming and then end up chambering foam darts halfway and causing jams.How exactly does the banana clip work on the quick 16?megaNOOB,It basically works like a N-Strike clip, there is a spring loaded dart advancement plate at the bottom that pushes the foam darts up for chambering into the bolt.The difference is the Quick 16 clip is permanently integrated (cannot be removed), the ammo can be reloaded from the side and it is in a "reverse banana" clip shape to accommodate the larger tips of Tagger foam darts.Should I get this or the Speedload 6 or the swarmfire? BTW, I heard that the speedload 6 has better ranges as there is no extra friction caused by the long barrel.Melody,Well, personally i'd get Swarmfires, mainly because of their full-auto firing mode... and they can be dual-wielded. :)Both the Quick 16 and Speedload 6 get around similar stock ranges (+/- a few feet), i don't notice a significant or consistent difference in ranges between the two.How long is it? I want the actual size in cm.Joel,The Quick 16 is around 53cm in length.Thx. But is it recon + spectre barrel or one and a half mavericks?Just askingJoel,2 x Mavericks positioned end-to-end would be around the approximate length.Thx.Btw,It does not have a tactical rail rite?Sorry if i had asked too much questions.Joel,Nope, no tactical rail.Aw...May i know the actual size of the box in cm? (The length and the breadth)Thx.Joel,Sorry, i discard all my empty blaster boxes so i can't do a box measurement for you.But i guess you could just do an estimate based on the Quick 16's length. :)Ok...How effective is the "quick-reload" system? Exactly how fast can you reload it? And is the "slam-fire" mode effective?John Doe,You can reload it as fast as you can put foam darts into the reload slot.The slam-fire mode is faster than normal firing (since you don't have to pull and let go the trigger between shots), so its good when raining shots on opponents.2 things, do you think they are going to bring out refill packs of the new taggers and also do you think this a good gun to play have in light hearted nerf battles?Thanks.Fireboost,Well, i've spotted refill packs for the new Tagger darts with blue/white tips at dept stores and online sites, i guess you'll just have to search around to find them.The existing Tagger darts with black/orange tips can still be used anyways.Sure, the Quick 16 is a good blaster for Nerf game, especially Dart Tag specific games.Does the priming handle feel any different from the raiders?Daniel,Its actually quite similiar. :)If you glued a male stock connector piece from a Recon to the back of the gun, then would it be possible to put a stock on? If I can figure out some way to put a Super Soaker stock and a tactical rail on a modded Quick 16, it may be the most versatile blaster ever because it can use any type of dart once modded.bednesti,Yes, some modders use that method to adapt the N-Strike shoulder stocks to fit too.SG Nerf, I've read on various websites that the Quick 16 is very prone to jam and that it damages darts in the proces.1. Did you experience this as well? 2. Can it be prevented with proper use/loading?3. Does it load more easily/quickly than with a clip system?4. Is it equal to the Alpha Trooper regarding overall effectiveness in a small Nerfwar (i.e. 2-8 people)/range/accuracy? Because I figured that the heavy-tipped darts should increase accuracy.I'm sorry for this many questions. You really have a marvellous Blog! Thanks in advance!BorisV,I don't experience much jamming in the Quick 16 units that i use. I guess part of the reason is because i operate and prime it properly and don't use damaged or worn out ammo, those who encounter jams usually either never prime it fully or smoothly enough or use faulty ammo.The Quick 16 has a loading slot to reload foam darts one by one, which is useful for topping up ammo on the move... but clip system blasters can be reloaded faster 'cos the player can carry multiple clips. An entire clip can be swapped and reloaded at once instead of just individual ammo.Compared to the Alpha Trooper, the stock ranges are similar and they both have the slam-fire feature, so is mainly the reloading system and ammo that are different.Tagger foam darts have more weight positioned further in front so they do tend to have better accuracy than streamlines.The main reason why people use blasters like the Quick 16 is because they need it to play in Dart Tag games (only taggers can stick to velcro vests). The other N-Strike blasters that fire streamlines can do well in the majority games too.Thank you so much for the quickness, extensiveness and quality of your answer!!!I'll really try to acquire a Quick 16 now as I personally favour whistlers.Good luck and have fun with your blog!what kind of dart does it work best with? Is it accurate? Anonymous,Nerf Tagger foam darts work best with it... the Quick 16 is designed to use those foam darts anyways.The accuracy is quite good at stock ranges.do suction darts work with this? and which gun has better ranges?Quick 16 OR the air zone quickfire sniper?~Maxhardy~,Its possible, but they may not chamber or perform as well as Tagger foam darts.I don't have an Air Zone QuickFire Sniper blaster, so i can't do a range comparison.Which one to buy for xmas? Raider cs-35 or this: quick 16?Anonymous,Get the Raider CS-35.Thanks! What's a better sidearm with raider?Barrel Brake or Speedload 6Anonymous, If comparing between those 2 blasters, the Speedload 6 would be a better sidearm.I dink barrel brake = bettershould i sell my quick 16 BLOG_CMT_createIframe('https://www.blogger.com/rpc_relay.html');
