Expanded Polystyrene, a closed-cell, rigid and light weight insulation material, possessing low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal resistance, high compressive strength and heavy shock absorption properties, is an ideal material in the application of insulation and packaging. It is referred as refractory ceramic fibre and it usually comes in 25 mm thick mattress and density ranging from 64 to 128 Kilogram per Cubic meter.Slag wool is made from molten blast furnace slag by the action of jetting of steam under high pressure. It is in the form of loose cotton with a steely appearance and is packed in 40 kg bags. Slag wool is recommended mostly for its thermal insulation properties particularly Industrial Insulation such as hot boiler Insulation and Steam Pipe Insulation. The common uses of slag wool are spray in fireproofing, in stud cavities, drywall assemblies, packing materials in fire stops. Cross-linked polyethylene, commonly abbreviated as PEX or XLPE, is a form of polyethylene with cross-links. It is formed into tubing, and is used predominantly in building services pipe work systems, hydronic radiant heating and cooling systems, domestic water piping, and insulation for high tension (high voltage) electrical cables. It is also used for natural gas and offshore oil applications, chemical transportation, and transportation of sewage and slurries. Cross linked polyethylene is renowned for the following: Flexibility, direct routing of pipes, greater water pressure at fixtures, lower cost of materials, easier installation, reliable, and no risk of fire during installation.Nitrile Rubber is made from closed cell rubber foam, which has a micro cell, non porous structure and closed cell content bigger than 90%. Nitrile Rubber is the most commonly used rubber material for its easy and effective application. Nitrile Rubber is used both in Hot and Cold Insulation applications and comes in Class 'O' (Fire Retardant ) and Class '1' (Non Fire Retardant). It is compatible with most environments as well as its relative cost compared to other rubber materials. The common applications of Nitrile rubber are disposable non-latex gloves, automotive transmission belts, hoses, O rings, gaskets, and cable jacketing.Polyurethane foam slab is an eco friendly rigid Material which is used for cold and hot insulation purpose. PUF is a light weight insulation material with excellent thermal conductivity, dimensional stability and compressive strength. PUF is specially used for thermal insulation such as Cold Room, Hot Room, A/C Rooms, Roofing, Pipe line, Plants, Equipment, and Inside Partitions to maintain the required temperature conditions. It is very easy to handle and is available in 10mm to 200mm thickness, with density ranging from minimum 36 to maximum of 150 Kg / m3Extruded Polystyrene is made from solid polystyrene crystals along with special additives and a blowing agent, are mixed and fed into an extruder and melted, under controlled conditions of high temperature and pressure, into a hot plastic fluid which is then forced in a continuous process through a die. As it emerges from the die it expands to foam, is shaped, cooled, and trimmed to required dimensions. This continuous extrusion process results in a unique foam product with a uniform closed-cell structure, a smooth continuous skin, and consistent product qualities unequaled by other insulation materials.
