WOMEN OF ASIA ARTS INITIATIVE CONCERT 2012:New York, New York, February 29, 2012 Sachiko Suga, pianoThis WOMEN OF ASIA ARTS INITIATIVE CONCERT 2012 was presented by NAWARTS in collaboration with sponsors: the Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., Japan Entrepreneurs and Presidents Association, Swiss Global Artistic Foundation and the United Nations Friendship Association. The National Association of Women for the Arts is a nonprofit arts advocacy organization that promotes global understanding and cultural awareness in support of artists in all fields of the Arts. The mission of the National Association of Women for the Arts is to promote intercultural dialogue, build global partnerships that increase diversity and provide broader access for community participation in the Arts through artistic and educational initiatives. SACHIKO SUGABorn in Tokyo, Japan, Sachiko Suga started playing piano at the age of three as a student the Kunitachi Music School. In 1992 she entered Toho Gakuen College of Music and continued her education with an Artist Diploma from the Luebeck National University of Music, studying with Konrad Elser, and a Performance Diploma from Rostock National University of Music and Theatre with Matthias Kirschnereit. She also participated in the Master Class of professor Andrej Jasinski held in Salzburg.In 1999 she made her debut solo recital in Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall. This was followed by concerts in Italy, France, Czech Republic, Portugal, Austria and Germany where she performed at the prestigious Schleswig Holstein Music Festival.www.nawarts.org Loading...
